The vacuum curette comprises a central shaft (12), one end (14) of which is connected to a source of medium vacuum and whose other end (10) is capable of being introduced into the uterus. The latter end comprises at least one opening (18) comprising an edge, capable of cutting or scraping, inclined by approximately 10 DEG towards the end close to the operator, with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis of the curette, and a large opening (20) of approximately 10 times the diameter of the hole in the curette at the end distant from the operator.
