An automatic music player using discs held in a carousel type magazine includes a facility for automatic cycle control of different tracks from the discs. The magazine consists of radial compartments (3) around a common centre shaft (2). The discs are controlled by a gripper (5) that is fixed. - A carrier disc (6) has a number of radial slots (7) corresponding to the number of magazine compartments. Concentric rings (9) sub-divide the carrier and correspond to equal segments of the recorded disc. A pivoted arm (10) has an actuator (11) that allows slide permanent magnets (8) to be moved to control the playing of sections of the discs.
