Appts. determines the skewness of a ski boot sole about its long axis w.r.t. a horizontal at 90 deg. to the axis, due to faulty positioning of the leg or of the ski boot, and consists of baseplate on which are rotatably mounted, each at 2 points mutually parallel stand plates, whose standing surfaces include with the horizontal surface in the transverse direction and in the unloaded state, an acute angle. Preferably the mounting axes of the plates are offset in the direction of the inner edge of the boot sole, w.r.r. the boot sole long axes of the boot to be aligned on the stand plate. The faulty position is used, not to affect the natural leg position, but to load the skis' inner edges somewhat more heavily, instead of a uniform loading of the ski's running surfaces.
