The connector for two conduits consists of an insulating section with bores for spark paths. The connection is made between a tapered insert (1) and an oppositely tapered socket (2) separated by the insulation (3) which is a folded back sleeve of synthetic material wedged between the tapered surfaces. The inert (1) has external threads at its other end, and the socket (2) has external threads for connection to conduit ends. Projecting rims (4, 5) are connected through stoppers (7) inserted in the recesses (5) to provide a conducting path. This prevents static charge build up on the conduits, which are used in gas or water domestic supplies.
