Probe for measuring the internal pressure of animal or human blood vessels or intestines has a head covered by a vulcanised two-component silicone rubber sleeve and provided with a recess in which are mounted two spaced leaf springs which carry respective sensors which abut the rubber sleeve. Each sensor is associated with a ferro-magnetic core movable relative to one another on displacement of the sensors to produce a change in inductance in a coil disposed in one core. The probe is attached to the inlet end of a catheter.
