The roof structure (10) comprises parallel roof beams (11), and purlins (12), with upward aligned centre stem fitted parallel at intervals on these. The centre stems (13), have apertures aligned with apertures in the purlins on opposite sides. The aligned purlin apertures (22, 24), are pierced by insulation carrier shackles (20), vertical to the purlins. There are insulating strips, wide enough to bridge the gap between purlins, running parallel to the purlins and lying on the shackles. The purlins are also fitted with covering foil sheets which extend over the strips.
