The liquid metering device fits on a vessel which can be subjected to internal pressure, partic. compressible bottle or canister. A standpipe extends into the bottle and protrudes into a metering chamber clear of its bottom. Coaxial to the standpipe (6) inside the metering chamber (5) is a tube (9) whose length is roughly equal to the internal height of the chamber. The standpipe extends roughly to the top of the chamber, and it and the tube have lateral openings (13-16) brought into line by rotation in relation to each other.
