The sales shelf has several individual compartments in which a specific wine is stored. Each individual compartment has an indicator unit. An electric selector system is also provided whose freely selectable settings correspond to predetermined menu courses, such as white meat, dark meat, cheese, fish etc. Control units are provided to select a preprogrammed combination of indicator units corresponding to the selected setting. The associated individual compartments contain the different types of wine corresponding to the selected menu or occasion. By using the control the different wines available for the different occasions are clearly indicated.
