Intruder resistant motor vehicle door lock - has three settings, with final one blocking unbolting action

The door lock for motor vehicles etc. has a bolting device for operation from inside. The closing mechanism operable from outside with a fitting key, has three positions-closed, secured and blocked. In the last-named, any attempt at unbolting the bolting device is blocked. It can be arranged to that when the front door of a vehicle is blocked, a rear door is blocked at the same time. Blocking can involve a locking pin which is pushed into the bolting mechanism, by movement of the closing mechanism into the blocked setting, so that the door cannot be unbolted from inside.
