The rarefaction wave gun ( RAVEN ) can achieve much low recoil momentum without decreasing the muzzle velocity of the projectile by means of advanced opening breechblock while projectile traveling special location in barrel. Base on the work principle of RAVEN, in allusion to two major different breechblock opening mode, the paper emphatically research the modeling and simulation of redesigned newly two-door breechblock. It is concluded that rarefaction wave gun can extremely reduce recoil impulse and the barrel temperature without effect the muzzle velocity under the same loading condition.
