An enlarger has a facility for limiting contrast during colour printing by using selective pre-exposure etc from an independent light source. This is esp. useful for printing from slides where the contrast is too great for the colour reversal photographic paper. An enlarger (1) equipped with a colour head also has a mounting bracket (2) to carry a computerised electronic flash (3), also equipped with dial in (4) or other subtractive filtration, which is used for selective pre-synchronised, or post exposure of the photographic paper.
