The ancillary lens attachment is connected to the main optical system of a camera. Its beam-path guide device (2) is exchangeable in order to select different viewing directions. The device to guide the beam path (7) is arranged adjustably and contains a mirror (2) pivotable in the central region (8). The beam tube (1) has a substantially smaller diameter than the objective (6) of the camera. Near the beam entry point (7) there is a coupling for endoscopes.
