Locking device for vehicle container - has stops on vehicle and container held by spring assisted screw and toggle lock

The device is for locking a container to a vehicle platform. There is a pair of stops, one (6) on the vehicle and the other (33) on the container. These act horizontally in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and there is a wedge on the bottom of the container. The vehicle-mounted stop can move as required for locking and unlocking. This movement is controlled by a toggle assembly fixed to the vehicle chassis, and operated by a hand crank (31). The stop (6) can be drawn hard against the container stop (33) and the locking is given by a claw (32) which is pivoted (13) under spring control (22).
