Cooker hood with twin filters - has forced circulation air system with flap valve and filter isolation changeover handle

The hood for a cooker comprises a filter and a ventilator for forcing the air sucked from above the cooker through the filter. It comprises an air circulation system with an air evacuation pipe located in the kitchen. A second air pipe situated at the other end of the circulation system discharges to atmosphere. A flap valve is located midway in the air system for isolating the inlet and outlet pipes when the hood is not in use. The filter comprises two sections, one of which removes the grease and the second the odours associated with cooking. The filters are able to be used individually or together depending on the position of a changeover handle.
