Flipper for underwater swimming - has propulsion surface attached to foot portion at combined angles to assist natural ankle movement

The flipper is used for underwater swimming, one being attached to each foot by a recess moulded into the flipper. The propulsion surface is a flexible elongated rectangle, narrower where joined onto the foot portion. At this point, the separate longitudinal axes (3, 4) of the two parts meet at an angle (5), the propulsion surface being offset to one side. Equally, this propulsion surface is also twisted at an angle relative to the foot portion. The resulting combined angle assists the wearer to use the flippers with a natural movement of the ankle and reduces fatigue.
