A sabotage torpedo is carried on the back of a frogman. A glass globe (22) protects the firing system, and allows examination of other equipment. After breakage of glass, firing can be by a striker, or a hydrous battery, the latter operating either in fresh or salt water, and insulated by a rubber capsule. The torpedo can be petrol driven to give a large operating range, the power unit being removably secured to the rear, while the rudder acts as the helm. The glass below the stem can be thick enough to resist a slight shock, but not that caused by striking a wall in its path.
