The automatic fire detection alarm is intended for domestic or commercial use and comprises a solid thread of nylon plastic or similar material. This is enclosed in a thin-walled plastic tube for protection and is run over roof trusses, corners of ceilings and other places liable to be affected by a fire in the vicinity. In the event of a fire, the protective tubing and the enclosed thread metal and release a spring loaded arm. This actuates warning device. The arm is also connected to a valve in pipework connecting a tank to a sprinkler system. On release of the arm the valve is opened to activate the sprinkler system.
