The transport vehicle for cars has a loading platform on which the latter are arranged one behind the other or overlapping and obliquely. A support is provided for the portion of the last vehicle loaded where it overhangs the transport vehicle. This support comprises one or more props (6) acting directly against the chassis of the last vehicle loaded (2), in front of the rearmost axle (10) of the latter when seen in the travel direction (F). The props are situated inside the rear portion (5) of the loading platform.
