METHOD OF KEEPING PRESSURE NEGATIVE IN RECIPROCATING GAS COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To qucikly and easily keep a gas set seal tight completely, by putting an O-ring on a piston rod exposed at a large-calibered portion, after removing it from a circumferential groove and forcing it in the large-calibered portion by lifting a jig fitted below. CONSTITUTION:For vacuumizing a cylinder 10 from a gas discharge port 12 or gas suction port 11, first an opening of a distance piece 50 for No.3 chamber is opened and then an O-ring 72 fitted in a circumferential groove 71 is taken out and put on a piston rod 70 exposed at a large-calibered portion 502. A split-ring type jig 90 is put on the lower part of the piston rod 70 and a crankshaft 81 is turned to lift the jig 90 which is placed on a nut 73 for forcing the O-ring 72 into the large- calibered portion 502. This can quickly and easily keep the gas seal completely gastight.
