Substituted 2-(carbamoyl)oxyimino-3-iminobutyramides and 2-(carbamoyl)oxyimino-3-iminobutyrates of the formula IMAGE Formula I where Q is -OR4 or -NR5R6, and A, R, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are as hereinafter defined are useful as aphicides. The compounds are made by reacting an amine with a substituted 2-hydroxyiminoacetoacetamide (or 2-hydroxyiminopropionylacetamide) or an alkyl 2-hydroxyiminoacetoacetate (or 2-hydroxyiminopropionylacetate), then carbamylating the resulting substituted 2-hydroxyimino-3-iminobutyramide (or 2-hydroxyimino-3-iminovaleramide) or 2-hydroxyimino-3-iminobutyrate (or 2-hydroxyimino)-3-iminovalerate).
