HOCKEY-STICK AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE

Ice hockey stick has a shaft made of wood or a plastics material and terminates in a tapering spigot provided with holes or depressions, the spigot being covered with resin impregnated glass fibre matting before the blade which is provided with reticulated surface is moulded onto the spigot using a thermoplastic synthetic resin. Latter may be based on a polyamide, polyester, polycarbonate or polyolefine. Pref. the thermoplastics resins is foamed and coated externally with a resin impregnated glass fibre matting.
