PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF NEW 2,3-DIHYDRO-IMIDAZO¢2,1-b!- THIAZOLE DERIVATIVES.. Process for the preparation of 2,3-dihydro-imidazo¢2,1-b!-thiazole derivatives having the formula : ( I ) in which R represents a radical of the formula in which A represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a C1-4 alkoxy group, a C1-6 alkyl group, a phenyl group, a phenyl group substituted with a halogen atom, a nitro group or a C1-4 alkoxy group, or a group of the formula : in which R6 represents hydrogen or a methyl group and R7 represents hydrogen or a C1-6 alkyl group, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a group of the formula in which B represents a halogen atom or a C1-4 alkoxy group, R2,R3, R4 and R5, which may be the same or different, represent each a hydrogen atom, a C1-4 alkyl group or a phenyl radical, R1,R2,R3,R4 and R5 not being simultaneously hydrogen when R represents a phenyl group or a phenyl group substituted with a halogen atom or a nitro group, and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts,comprising condensing a 2-amino?2-thiazoline (II) with an .alpha.-brominated ketone (III) (II) (III) R, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 having the meanings defined for formula (I).
