The structure is for underwater hulls or tanks which are required to withstand a high external pressure particularly for service at great immersion depths. The structure comprises toric components, connected rings and longitudinal connecting beams. The interior of the toric components may serve as a container for cargo or ballast. The internal volume is partitioned by water-tight transverse walls which for spaces used as a command room, diver accommodation and lock chamber.
