Steroids having the formula IMAGE wherein R1 is alkyl, aryl or arylalkyl; R2 and R3 are the same or different and are hydrogen, alkyl or aryl; R4 is hydrogen and R5 is hydroxy or together R4 and R5 are =O; and R6 is hydrogen, methyl or fluorine; have useful antiinflammatory activity.
