An elastic inner for orthopaedic shoes, ski boots etc., is made of foamed ethylene (co)polymer, pref. partly crosslinked and mainly with closed pores. Flat sections of foam are made into the shape of the two halves of a shoe inner, deflashed and glued or welded together.
