In an explosion-proof electrical device with pressure-resistant encapsulation, the housing parts (1 to 3) are connected together in the region of mutually facing surfaces, using a curable synthetic resin, for the disruptively spark-proof joining of housing parts (1 to 3). In order to achieve a joining of the housing parts (1 to 3) which is absolutely disruptively spark-proof and at the same time mechanically rigid and robust, the invention proceeds in the manner that the synthetic resin is stamped or cut out in the form of a film essentially corresponding to the outline design of the surfaces which are to be butt-adjoined to one another and then, after insertion of the film (26, 27), braces the corresponding housing parts (1 to 3) against one another in each case between the two mutually associated surfaces, and the synthetic resin is then cured.
