The compound fuse holding terminal strip consists of separate insulating blocks that interlock to form a long terminal strip. The interlocking is achieved by plug connector joints at the ends of the blocks. The centre of each block has rectangular recess to accommodate the fuse unit. Contacts for the fuses protrude parallel from one face of the terminal strip. Each block has an L-shaped contact, whose rear arm passes behind the rectangular recess, and a looped contact which passes back out of the same face of the block through which it entered. The protruding contacts are separated by protruding insulating walls. The plug connector may be provided with latches to prevent release.
