The front-loading dishwasher has an upper crockery tray guided in rails and a lower crockery tray which can be extended in drawer-fashion whereby its front rollers run on tracks inside the door whilst its rear rollers run on supporting rails in the wash chamber. So as to increase the effective height available for loading the lower tray the tracks are sunk into the door whilst the supporting rails run inclined from the front load opening towards the rear wall of the wash chamber. The front rollers of the lower tray are preferably off-set by one roller width sideways in the gauge relative to the rear rollers so that, when the tray is slid in, the front rollers are lowered in the tracks whilst the rear rollers are lowered on the supporting rails.
