The arrangement for preventing rapid evaporation in flue-gas heated economisers of similarly heated steam generators consists of a regulating valve (1) in the line from the economiser (20) to the evaporator (21) and a bypass (3) with a control and relief valve (2) from upstream of this regulator to the steam-water separator (6) in the line from evaporator to superheater (22). From the separator bottom a circulating line (23) containing a pump (7) leads back to the feed line, between regulating valve and evaporator. A branch from the circulating line leads to a flash chamber (4), via the relief valve (14).
