The assembly has a main air duct, a bypass air duct and an evaporator (15). The evaporator is arranged in such a manner in the main air duct that an air flow flows through the evaporator. The bypass channel is insertable in such a manner, that if necessary a part of the air flow passes the evaporator. Between the main air duct and the bypass air duct a relief valve (18) is arranged such that with exceeding of a pressure in the forward channel before the evaporator, air is led into the bypass channel. A diffuser is provided in the air duct before the evaporator. The diffuser forms the flow of air such that it is streamlined with essentially identical speed. An independent claim is included for a method.
