Corn or maize cutting machine - has horizontal cutting device driven at level above normal height of corn cobs

The machine is designed for working on tall corn crops e.g. maize. It has a horizontal cutting device (15) which is driven at a height above the normal height of the corb cob. There are several driven cutter bars (20) which form the actual cutting device (15). specifically, the cutting device (15) is fitted to the front side of a working vehicle with a chassis corresponding to the height of the corn. The cutting device (15) can be raised and lowered by means of a hydraulic lifting device (14) and cuts off the leaves above the corn cobs. The cobs are thus exposed to the sun for ripening and the danger of wind blow is reduced.
