The anti theft device uses two blocks (3, 4), one on each ski (1, 2) top side. In each block is a top open transverse groove (5, 6) and one of the blocks (4) contains a cable (7) which can be drawn out and secured by a lock (8) in this block. The length of the cable is such that, when the two skis are placed together, one with its block facing upwards and the other facing downwards, it can be engaged in the respective block grooves, guided around the pair of skis and retained firmly in the lock so that withdrawal is impossible.
