Head for automatic wood-grinding machine - has oscillating grinding shoes driven through eccentrics by motor

The grinding machine for wood has at least two grinding shoes (8) mounted over a transport belt which moves the parts to be ground under the machine. Each shoe is suspended from the grinding head by two sets of vertical suspension rods (9). The rods enable the grinding shoes to rock to and fro while remaining parallel to the belt surface. Each grinding shoe is connected to a guide rod mounted on an eccentric (6). The eccentrics are spaced at 180 deg. and are driven by a motor (1) attached to the side of the grinding head.
