The equipment is for use with central-heating furnace burning fossil fuel already installed in a building and having a combustion chamber air inlet, together with one from a heat exchanger to give greater efficiency. A distribution chamber is fixed to the furnace to shut off the inlets from the ambient air, enclosing the furnace and connected to the atmosphere outside the building. The connection incorporates one or more lengths of conduit (18) with an inlet (21) outside the building (40). There is a hole in the distribution chamber (17) for connection of the conduit, which includes a damper plate (23) inside the conduit.
