This device is intended for vehicles comprising a main electrical installation 1 and an auxiliary electrical installation 2, a main accumulator 3, an auxiliary accumulator 4, a generator 8, driven by the engine, and a power supply 12 intended to be connected to the network; a switch 7 which can selectively connect the generator 8 to the accumulators 3 and 4 to recharge them, lines 14 and 15 which can be connected by the power supply 12 to the accumulators 4 and 3 to recharge them via the network 13, a switch 16 actuated by the feeder 12 to connect the main installation 1 to a line 17 when the feeder is connected to the network 13, or to the generator 8 in the opposite case, a switch 21, actuated by the contact and the oil pressure and which connects the auxiliary installation 2 to the feeder 12 by a line 23, when it is de-energized, and to the generator 8, when it is energized, the feeder 12 being able to connect the line 15 to the line 17 and the line 14 to line 23 when disconnected from network 13.
