The door or window frame is constructed of formed members with a cross section (1) which is mainly square or rectangular. A small flange (6) extends from one corner of the section and forms a support for a sealing strip (7). the sealing strip (7), which abuts against the door or window, has a bulbous head which fits in a matching groove in the section (1). The opposite face of the section, which abuts against the wall, has a T-shaped sealing strip to seal the gap between the finished frame and the wall.
