The method of providing space for posters out of doors uses prefabricated modules housed in wasted space under overhead roadways and railways. The method prevents illicit attachment of posters to the supporting columns by enclosing the columns by these modules. They can be combined with other uses in addition to providing poster space, and can be square or round or have sloping sides. The modules can incorporate telephone booths, waiting space at bus stops, seating accomodation etc., and can be of standard, mobile and interchangeable construction. They can be illuminated at night, and are intended to reduce vandalism, particularly of telephone equipment.
