PREPARATION OF PROTEIN SOLUTION CONSISTING ESSENTIALLY OF LIPOPROTEIN OF PLASMA WITH HIGH SPECIFIC GRAVITY AND SERUM ALBUMIN

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled solution useful for a patient of lipodysbolism, e.g., arterioschlerosis, etc., by treating specifically fraction IV-1 of plasma or corn by ethanol fractionation 6 method. CONSTITUTION:Fraction IV-1 of plasma or corn by ethanol fractionation 6 method is used as a starting raw material. First by salting-out, weakly soluble protein is precipitated and removed from the raw material, and its supernatant liquid is subjected to gel filtration so that a salt used in the salting-out is removed. The filtrate is treated with an ionizing medium to remove the residual existing protein and concentrated, to give a protein solution consisting essentially of lipoptrotein (HDL for short) of plasm with high specific gravity and serum albumin. Lipoprotein with low specific gravity, a kind of plasma protein, sends cholesterol from blood to the wall of blood vessel, while HDL has actions to take out cholesterol from the wall of the blood vessel to blood, HDL is obtained readily as a mixed solution of serum albumin.
