ANALYSING METHOD FOR GEAR NOISE

PURPOSE:To make it easy and secure to inspect causal relation between gear work precision, and a noise and vibration by taking simultaneous measurements of the number of teeth, the reference phase point of a random tooth, outer circumferential deflection, measurement-surface deflection, a noise and vibration by a displacement gauge sensor and adjacent switch. CONSTITUTION:Noise gauge 10 measures a noise at the back of a crown and that in a gear box, and vibration pickup 12 vibration in the center of the crown, vibration in a strike of a gear, etc.; and sensor 14 measures the deflection of the gear, the rotational frequency (for a hight speed) of the gear, etc., and adjacent switch 16 the rotational frequency (for a low speed) of the gear, thereby recording the data in portable data recorder 8. Then, data of waveforms of a noise and vibration and frequency analyses of the noise and vibration obtained by X-Y recorder 21 are matched with data set 23 of the rotational frequency of the gear, outer circumferential and side-surface deflection of the gear, etc., obtained by photocoder 22 so that a measure as to the gear can be taken easily and securely.
