PNEUMATIC RADIAL TYRE BEING EXCELLENT IN DURABILITY AT HIGH SPEED

PURPOSE:To improve durability at high speed, by a method wherein, in a radial tyre having a belt layer, a cushion rubber layer which has both modulus of loss elasticity and resilience, is laid between a cord layer band and a tread rubber. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic radial type is provided with a radial carcass 2 formed in a toroid, a belt layer 8 in which plies 8-1 and 8-2 having steel cords arranged within a range of 10-30 deg. against the quator surface of a tyre are superposed to each other so that the cords cross each other, cord layer bands 10, 10 which are arranged at the surrounding of opposite end sections of said belt layer 8, and a tread rubber 11 which is located over the whole circumference of said bands 10, 10. In this case, a cushion rubber layer 15, which as both 2-12kg/cm2 of a modulus of loss elasticity and 60-85% of resilience, is laid between the cord layer bands 10, 10 and the tread rubber 11.
