AMINO ACID TRANSFUSION FOR POSTOPERATIVE PATIENT

PURPOSE:To provide an amino acid transfusion for post-operative patient containing specific amounts of specific amino acids, and effective to adjust the deviated amino acid pattern to the normal state. CONSTITUTION:An amino acid transfusion having amino acid composition given in the table. A part or the whole of cystine in the table may be substituted by cysteine and/or methionine, and a part or the whole of tyrosine may be substituted by phenylalanine. The pH of the transfusion is 4.9-7.8, pref. 6.0-7.5, and the concentration is 3-20, pref. 5-10wt%. The amino acids may be salts, various derivatives, etc., and the transfusion may contain other amino acids, nutrients, stabilizers, etc. The transfusion is effective to adjust the amino acid pattern in blood of a post-operative patient who has destorted amino acid requirement pattern caused by the change in the amino acid metabolism.
