Medicaments with anti-ulcer activity contain 2-(p-chlorophenyl)-3-carbamoylmethyl- imidazo(1,2-a)pyridine of formula (I) or its acid-addn. salts. The citrate and hydrobromide salts of (I) are new. (I) is effective against peptic ulcer (e.g. induced by antiinflammatory agents) at unit doses of 200-400 mg (p.o) and has low acute toxicity (LD50 is 6000 mg/kg, p.o., mouse).
