Device for making drillings into the rock, soil, etc., of which the motor is connected by a rotary coupling or similar to a drilling rod at the end of which is fitted a percussion apparatus. The object of the invention is to improve such device by adapting it in a simple manner, while maintaining the performances of the percussion apparatus, to the different conditions of the drilling. This is achieved due to the fact that the movements of the piston of the percussion apparatus (4) are caused by a pressure means by means of a pulse generator (9), which is connected to the rotary coupling (2) or similar and to the drilling rod (3) on top and at the bottom of the cylinder in which the striker piston moves. It is desirable to adjust the frequency of the percussion apparatus with the pulse generator (9), the adjustment of the frequency of the pulse generator (9) is effected automatically and depends on the feed conditions of the drilling. To move the percussion apparatus (4) a hydraulic means is used.
