Method for cleaning of a machine part which belongs to a rotating electric machine and which carries a winding. One uses a washing machine where an alkaline water solution is sprayed against the winding-carrying machine part under very high pressure, after which rinsing with pure water takes place in that the rinse water is also sprayed through washing machine nozzles at high pressure. Finally, the machine part is dried in a vacuum chamber.
