AbstractInorganic oxides pigments, coated with alumina aretreated with water soluble hydroxy acids or salts forexample sodium citrate, and with water soluble di- orpolyhydric alcohols, for example pentaerythritol, or witha water soluble reaction product of excess di- or polybasicorganic hydroxy acids with di- or polyhydric alcohol.Titanium dioxide pigment so treated may be used in bothemulsion paint and in organic based paint systems.
