The gas purifier incorporates a passage chamber in which the exhaust gases come into contact with the wash liq. issuing through a number of nozzle jets arranged one after another. The jets have a conical liq. outlet with an opening angle of at least 90 degrees and impinge upon the inner walls of the chamber. The nozzles may also be built as sifting nozzles consisting of a hollow body with continuously decreasing inner cross section. The interior of the nozzles may be built as a closed hemispherical capsules with the jets located at the largest distance from the bottom surface. The inlet pipe for the gas is arranged tangentially so as to give a rotary motion to the gases.
