Sterile mixing of powder with liquid - using ampoule of liquid the end of which is sheared by pulling up plunger which pushes over collar to break end of ampoule to cement

Powder is held in a flexible bag clamped into circular housing above which is a plunger contg. sealed ampoule of the liquid for mixing into the powder. The whole package is sterile. The housing is in the form of a holder to allow the ampoule to be opened. The ampoule has a teat which extends below it. This is held in a collar, one side of which is wedge shaped. The ampoule plus collar, are mounted inside the plunger. The plunger has a horizontal rib inside when the plunger is pulled up this rib rides up the wedge on the collar, pushing the collar to one side. This shears off the teat and allows the liquid in the ampoule to fall onto the powder in the flexible bag. Used for mixing bone cement method. Allows the cement to be made with min number of hand actions.
