The gas burner lighter comprises a housing of fireproof material, such as sheet metal, and a pistol butt grip. The forward end of the housing is open and accommodates an interchangeable flintstone bearing against a friction wheel turned by a trigger in the pistol butt. The housing (1) is rectangular and comprises two half-shells (3,4) assembled together, with the prefabricated pistol butt grip (2) secured to it. There can be an insertion opening in the grip, shaped to accommodate the end of the housing, and it can be also assembled from two prefabricated shells.
