The playing face of the racket comprises an oblong deep drawn shell (1) whose contour forms a channel (3) rising in the longitudinal direction both sides from a centre arc (4) over straight or slightly outwardly curved running parts (5) to end in run-out arcs (6) which become smaller. In the transverse direction the channel (3) runs from a channel radius (8) matched to the size of the ball and drawn over the entire length of the channel (3) to the upper edges (9) of the dish which, clearly extending over the height of the end points (7) of the running channel (3) are parallel and widen out several times the diameter of the ball. A handle (2) drawn hoop shaped over the entire length of the running channel is attached to the underneath of the dish. This racket can now be used for catching and throwing the ball.
