A threshold anchoring bar is driven into a drilled hole, containing a cartridge, of adhesive, with the aid of a percussion drilling machine. The drill lining incorporates a number of clamping jaws. The clamping faces (7) of the jaws (6) are virtually smooth flat surfaces fitting against the thread (4) when the anchoring bar (3) is driven in. They may be arched in accordance with the bar's dia., or they may be spherical. There is no need for a special moving carrier to be available for every bar dia. and bars with no special joint end can be positioned, with secure connection ensured.
